Ephesians 5: 14 – 18
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Many believers have no understanding of end-time issues, yet we share our ignorance on social media.
Surprisingly the Bible teaches us to walk with an understanding of these things.
I don’t blame many believers either, our churches have shied away from these teachings. Meanwhile, God gave us these end-time prophecies for specific reasons.
1. To help us, when we see it, to realize that He has told us ahead of time.
2. To help us realize that He who had told us ahead of time, has us covered already and is protecting us from the evil of the times we are in.
3. It should help us realize that His return is really close.
4. They are to serve as confirmations that the scripture is true and that every other prophecy including the rapture shall come to pass.
5. to help us approach our purpose with a sense of urgency.
Jesus told us to watch and pray!
Daniel in his revelations said only the wise will understand!
Paul said walk circumspectly not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time for the days are evil
and understanding what the will of the Lord is!
It is correct, that believers should not fear. Of course, that is obviously covered in the biblical teachings of the end time.
But what I find funny is that believers think that reading and teaching about the end time and signs of the last days makes believers scared! Never!
In fact, that is proof you do not understand God’s global agenda. You think that way because you have shied away from trying to understand these teachings in scripture.
In all this, Jesus said be of good cheer, I have overcome the world!
(John 16:33)
A sound understanding of the times and seasons we are in, is required for the church to walk in sync with God’s global agenda.
Also in it we are assured of safey. For the spirit of the anti-christ will keep being restrained until the church is taken away in rapture.
If we do not even understand what’s happening, how can we effectively restrain that spirit?
However, to say believers should not bother about end time issues is an unscriptural teaching.
We are called to be men of Issachar, to be able to give an answer to the confused world out there to be able to tell them, “this is what is happening and this is what to expect”.
The biblical prophecies of the end time make you approach the happenings in the world like someone watching a replay video of an already concluded football match. You watch it without fear, because you already know the final scores.
And those believers who lack understanding on this topic should simply humble themselves like Berean Christians, go back to scripture and study and stop speaking ignorantly on social media because a Pastor is trying to teach believers to be vigilant – he is doing his part!
