#6 Prompt Obedience:

When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”

Luke 5:4‭-‬5 NKJV

Delayed obedience and procrastination has destroyed destinies. Sometimes people delay obedience due to self comfort and convenience.

God’s provision and promises are not guaranteed when we obey at our own convenience.

We must learn to dive in as soon as the water is stirred. God declared, “The vision is for an appointed time”. So God’s miracle working revelations are time based. Once God tells you to make the move, your fishes are guaranteed right there waiting for you. Any time after that, your guarantee might have expired. You’re most likely on your own. And it will take mercy and a fresh word/revelation/insight from God again to get that great catch He had prepared at the moment the instruction came.

#7 Employer of labour:

And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
Luke 5:6‭-‬7 NKJV

As soon as Simon Peter implemented divine revelation in his business, what followed was record breaking business returns. From a failed business man who has almost packing up, Peter became an employer of labour in no time.

God wants to bless our businesses and career to an extent that our cup overflows. His blessings upon us are not just for our daily feeding no! He wants to use us to solve society’s unemployment problems. He will have us run corporations that will feed thousands of people just like Joseph did in Egypt during the famine.

This is all attainable on the altar of prompt obedience.

#8 Fisherman to fisher of men:

Most often than not, pulpit ministers who eventually get called to leave off career/business completely and to focus strictly on the five fold pulpit ministry; are usually men and women of God who have previously succeeded in their career boats for God.

It was after Peter completed the cycle of his first assignment that followed God promoted him to a higher assignment that opened up his real destiny.

He that is faithful in little shall be faithful in much. Simon Peter never envisaged that He would make history for life as a prominent man in Christ’s everlasting dynasty and Kingdom. Peter became more like the right hand man to Jesus. In fact, after Jesus left this physical earth, Peter became the human foremost leader of the church.

He had proven faithful in following God at the local level of being a fisher man, then God brought Him to a global scene and a higher assignment still around the field of “fishing”, but this time “fisher of men”.

God does not jump class, many of us have hindered ourselves and delayed our success in life by our own refusal to walk with God through it all.

When we follow through with God all the way in that area He has called us for the now, you can be guaranteed the world will hear your voice. There is a higher global level of your career He will open you up to but not until you have passed your current assignment.

As you open your heart to receive and act on His word, you shall excel in your fishing boat and soon the world shall celebrate you as God promotes you to a higher global level in career and destiny. Amen.

In all, the easiest way to a life of fulfillment remains following God will purposefully. May God bless you and increase you in the works of your hands as you put these thing to practice and always remember to keep living on purpose!
