WISE WATCHERS PRAY FOR NIGERIA
Daniel 4:17 –
“This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men…”

As a call to take our stand and enforce God’s will upon our land and nation, Nigeria; I invite you if you are a Christian and you believe in the power of prayers to lend your voice as we make decrees over the land and decide the fate of our nation on our knees.
The scripture in James 5:16, tells us that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. How much more the effectual fervent prayer of 10, 20, 30 or a multitude of people over one cause! One shall chase a thousand and two shall put ten thousand to flight.
For every land, God raises up watchmen when the need for intercession arises. And it is not for a people of special breed. When you begin to sense a burden to intercede and pray for a cause, a people or a land, you know it’s a call to intercede. It usually doesn’t come in any more spectacular way than that. Alas! All through scriptures, I am aware that intercessors become men and women who understand times and seasons and soon get elevated to spear head God’s move in the land. It’s a free call to be enlisted in God’s army of believers who heaven anoints to bring solutions to the problems of our dear nation. Nigeria’s problems are our opportunities, as my mentor would always say.
It is God and no other person that rewards and elevates. So this is simply a call to personally commit at least 30 minutes of your time every week for effectual and fervent intercession for the destiny of our nation, Nigeria. We want to daily pick a prayer focus to pray over our land no matter how short. 5 minutes of focused prayer for our land every morning from Monday till Saturday will make 30 minutes already. I know many there are many praying, already but this is a way to keep us committed to it. And of course you are not limited to 30 minutes.
Many at one time or the other have felt this burden to personally intercede for our nation but we usually leave it off with the thought that some other persons are doing it. Just what if, those other persons are also hoping on some other persons like you, whom God must have spoken to. I see this as a call to take personal responsibility for the destiny of our nation not minding who else is doing it.
In conclusion, God said in His Word:
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
No matter the hurting and agitations in our nation today, I still believe that the healing, wealth and prosperity of our land is a reality and no other people than the church will set the pace for this on their knees first. Let us be that people who will commit ourselves to say, #iprayfornigeria.
God bless you!
